Hey,my friend and I often played Sins against each other. But now I have the Trinity Package (Sins,Diplomacy and Entranchement) and we can't play anymore together. We both have the newest Patches and can play online. Can anybody help us? Thanks
What does your friend have? You must make sure you are playing the exact same version of the exact same version of the game.
Another thing it could be is if either of your base game files got corrupted or modified, you'll need to reinstall to return them to their original forms.
Did either of you install a mod? If one of you is using a mod, the other person has to use the mod as well.
Hmm we have the exact same version but I'm trying a reInstall now thanks!I don't use any mods and I think he does not use them too.But when everything is allright, normally we could play together right?
Spell it out which versions those are please. More than likely one of you is either confused and doesn't have the newest version, or you are using the wrong executable in your trinity package if a reinstall doesn't work.
My friend and I have the same problem. He has Trinity, and I bought them individually. We're both playing Diplomacy v1.34, but it keeps saying our mesh files are different and one of us has a different version, which we don't. We've been playing together on this for years, but this problem keeps cropping up every time we've tried to play since the last update. Really frustrating...
P.S. Also, we both recently reinstalled everything, and the problem keeps happening...
There was a bug that an extra mesh file present in the install disc would lead to a multiplayer error for those who only installed via online download. Try totally deleting the install directory (or just the mesh folder if internet downloading is a big deal) then redownload the game from online.
Um... I'll go the tech support route and ask the most simple question first. Are you playing on Trinity or the Vanilla Sins?
